Privacy Policy

Last updated 13 September 2026.

This policy explains what Decodes Future collects when you visit decodesfuture.com or buy a digital product from us, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do about it. Questions go to omar@decodesfuture.com.

What we collect when you buy

To sell you a digital book we need an email address to send your download links to, and the billing details your card issuer requires. We keep your name, email address, billing country and order history.

We never see or store your full card number. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe, which is responsible for processing your card details. We receive only a confirmation that payment succeeded, the last four digits, and a transaction reference. Stripe’s own privacy policy governs what they do with that data.

What we collect when you just visit

We record standard, aggregated visit information — pages viewed, approximate region, device type, and which advert or link brought you here — using Google Analytics and a self-hosted analytics plugin. We use this to understand which pages are useful and which adverts are worth running, not to identify you personally.

If you arrive from an advert, the campaign identifiers in the link (such as utm_source or a click ID) are stored in a cookie for up to 30 days and attached to your order if you buy, so we can tell which advert paid for itself.

Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary to run a shop — remembering what is in your basket and keeping you logged in — plus the analytics and campaign-attribution cookies described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser; the shop’s basket and checkout will not work properly without the necessary ones.

Email

Buying the book puts you on no marketing list. We email you your order confirmation and download links, and we reply when you write to us. If we ever add an optional newsletter you will have to ask for it, and you will be able to leave in one click.

Who we share it with

Only the companies that make the shop work: Stripe (payment), our hosting provider (which stores the site and its database), our email delivery service (order emails), and Google Analytics (visit statistics). We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with data brokers or advertisers as a customer list.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require, typically seven years. Analytics data is retained in aggregate. If you ask us to delete your personal data we will do so except where we are legally required to keep an order record.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Email omar@decodesfuture.com and we will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to complain to a data protection regulator.

What we deliberately do not do

We do not ask for and do not want your passwords, one-time codes, identity documents or financial account numbers. No email from us will ever ask for them. If something claiming to be from Decodes Future asks you for a password or a code, it is not from us — please forward it to omar@decodesfuture.com.

Children

This site and its products are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page.
